Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) advisor at the KCL NIHR Research Support Service (RSS) Hub

Lucy is a Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Advisor at the King’s College London (KCL) and Partners Research Support Service (RSS) Hub. The Hub provides researchers with expert guidance on designing, developing, and delivering their funding applications, with a particular focus on mental health and neuroscience research. Alongside her advisory role, Lucy coordinates the Lived Experience Advisory Panel at the KCL RSS, drawing on both extensive PPI experience and her own lived experience to embed meaningful involvement throughout the Hub’s activities.

Previously, Lucy worked as the PPI Coordinator for the Mental Health Implementation Network, where she supported the evaluation of the rollout of three mental health interventions aimed at improving services across different areas of need.

Lucy’s career has been shaped by a commitment to amplifying voices of underrepresented communities in research, aiming to tackle the health inequalities within the healthcare system so prevalent today.
