Expert qualitative methods and PPIE advice for funded and funding-seeking mental health and neuroscience research.

Hosted by King’s College London and partners, the KCL NIHR Research Support Service (RSS) hub supports researchers to develop and deliver high-quality research that improves people’s lives. The hub provides expert methodological advice to researchers who are preparing applications for research funding as well as those who are already funded and delivering research, with a focus on understanding, preventing and responding to mental health and neurological difficulties, and on developing better treatments, services and care.

The QUAHRC is home to the qualitative methods and PPIE sections of the hub.

We provide specialist support on qualitative research and Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) to researchers across the UK, both pre-award (supporting study design, shaping and strengthening funding applications) and post-award (delivery and methodological decision-making). This includes applications to all NIHR funding programmes, UK Research Councils and national health and care charities.

Support is available whether you are developing a funding application or working on a study that has already been funded.
