Join upcoming open workshops and events

We host events on how ethical processes can be improved to better meet the needs of communities and researchers. We create open spaces where communities and researchers can collaboratively discuss problems and formulate potential solutions. We are grateful to our partners, the McPin Foundation who have hosted several of these events, and to the King’s Engaged Researcher Network who have funded them. You can read a full summary of a previous event as a pdf here and see beautiful visual notes created by Tamara-Jade Kaz below (alt-text available here)

When events are planned, we’ll post the signup link here.

Bespoke Training

We deliver workshops and training on ethics in participatory, community-based, survivor/user-led, cross-cultural, and creative research, including writing ethics applications, consent in complex settings, payment and recognition of lived experience, data ownership, safeguarding, and navigating institutional requirements. Sessions can be run online or in person and adapted to your team’s needs. If you’re looking for something more specific, we’re happy to develop a bespoke session, please contact sohail.jannesari@kcl.ac.uk.
