Post-doctoral Researcher

Sohail is a post-doctoral researcher, looking at outcomes for survivors of trafficking using e-Delphi methods. He has completed a PhD the effects of the asylum process on mental health using walking interviews, in-depth interviews, as well as poetic and thematic analysis. Alongside this, he looked at how researchers should work with migrants, migrant communities and migrant organisations in an equitable and non-exploitative way, conducting an ethnography of participatory action research projects. Sohail has published a narrative analysis on people’s experience of the asylum process using theatre transcripts and conducted a photovoice project with Nigerian refugees in Italy.
