Longitudinal Research Evidence
Longitudinal research evidence examines how experiences, behaviours, and outcomes evolve over time. This work involves following individuals or groups over extended periods to identify patterns of change, the influence of contextual factors, and the processes that shape health and care trajectories. Longitudinal approaches strengthen the depth, relevance, and interpretability of research by revealing how and why change occurs.
At QUAHRC, we use qualitative methods to capture how people’s experiences develop and shift across different stages of illness, treatment, and care. This enables a rich, nuanced understanding of the dynamics of health and care delivery and supports the design of interventions and services that are responsive to people’s needs over time.
